With the goal of continuing this ten day immersive and high quality summer guitar workshop, we promise to deliver another dynamic, high-impact learning experience this year. Participants will be inside of a community built for focus, creativity, and connection. We offer workshops, rehearsals, master classes, and an opportunity to sharpen the performance skills that carry you onto any stage.
The Institute will kick-off with a high school competition and end with a powerhouse concert. In between, guitarists will create music, improv, play chamber music, have lessons and master classes with world-renowned players and pedagogues, practice performance skills and engage in workshops ranging from technique to professional development.
The special sauce of the USGO Summer Institute is the vibe! If you know, you know, and if you don’t come find out!!
FAQs
1 Can I do both the Women’s orchestra and the Summer Institute?
Absolutely! In fact you get a large discount for doing both. We placed these two amazing events back-to-back to make a seamless connection.
2. Are my meals included during the 10 days?
Yes, all room and meals are included in the 10 day experience. Additionally there are nearby restaurants that are walkable distance.
3.If my child is under 18 how do I know if they will be safe?
Participants will take part in supervised activities from breakfast through evening events each day. Guitarists under 18 will be housed with peers in their age group and must follow an 11:00 p.m. curfew.
